Coach Steve brings an undeniable passion for competition, teamwork, and player development to the Indy Magic Volleyball family. A standout 4-year All-State and All-Conference setter, Steve was a three-sport, four-year letterman in high school before taking his athletic career to the next level as a Division I soccer player. His time competing with the U.S. U16 and U17 National Teams gave him a front-row seat to elite-level training, competition, and leadership.
Even after stepping away from competitive play, volleyball remained a huge part of Steve’s life. He immersed himself in the game studying college programs, following the beach circuit, and sharpening his eye for strategy and skill.
Now entering his second season as the Boys Varsity Volleyball Head Coach at University and wrapping up his second season as Assistant Coach for the Girls Varsity team, Steve is fired up to bring his experience and energy to Indy Magic Volleyball.
A true “X’s and O’s” coach, Steve loves breaking the game down, teaching the little details, and building teams that compete with grit and heart. He believes in the power of fundamentals, teamwork, and relentless effort and his ultimate goal is to help young athletes grow not just as players, but as confident, driven competitors on and off the court.
